Three games were scheduled in the Arizona Fall League on Saturday. Great Britain’s Michael Roth dominated through four scoreless one-hit, two-walk innings in a 2-8 loss of his Mesa Solar Sox against the Salt River Rafters. Salt River scored seven runs in the top of the ninth to win the game. He struck out two and lowered his AFL ERA to 4.15.

Czech Republic’s Alex Sogard issued one unearned run on a walk in one inning of relief to take the loss in a 7-12 defeat of his Peoria Javelinas against the Scottsdale Scorpions. His ERA is at 3.86 this fall.

The 7-0 shutout of the Surprise Saguaros against the Glendale Desert Dogs saw Jonathan Schoop and Max Kepler squaring off. Schoop won with Surprise, going 1-for-4 with a walk, a run and a RBI. He played second base and was part of three double plays. Kepler was back at first for Glendale, collecting one hit in three at-bats.
