Posted on May 25, 2010May 25, 2010 by philipp

Born in Montpellier, France Anthony Cros is becoming the third French player to sign a professional contract after Joris Bert (Los Angeles Dodgers, now back in Rouen) and Frederic Hanvi (Minnesota Twins), as the outfielder will join the Capitales de Quebec of the independent Can-Am League. They will open the 2010 season on Thursday.

Cros played in four games for the French Elite League club Montpellier Barracudas this year, going 3-for-13 with four runs scored and four RBI. He was named to the All Canadian College Team after last year’s season and got the MVP award in the Western Major League, a collegiate summer league.
