Angels Trnava Champion of InterLeague 2012

Final Tournament October 29 – 30 in Bratislava

Four teams from semifinal tournaments were candidates to become InterLeague Champion 2012. Countries participated in this season – Croatia, Hungary, Serbia, Slovakia, Bulgaria.

From Semifinal tournament 1 in Karlovac – Olimpija Karlovac and Apollo Bratislava.
From Semifinal tournament 2 in Trnava – Angels Trnava and NADA Split.

Angels route to the Championship:

On Saturday in the first game the players of Apollo started better, when they scored in the second for a three-run lead. In the second part, however, the pressure created by the Angels was too much, as they scored in the fifth, sixth and seventh to get ahead 7-3. Apollo reduced the deficit to 5-7 in the eighth, but they could not overcome the remaining two runs and the Angels went to the finals.

On Sunday, they Nada SSM Split started better, taking a 4-1 lead through six innings. In the seventh, the Angels rallied for three runs to tie the game. In the eighth they plated the winning run. Split had a chance to counter in the eighth, but couldn’t turn two hits into a tie. After a scoreless ninth the Angels celebrated.
