Flavio Pomogranato, Livio Caponi and Marco Mannucci have founded an amateur baseball league called North West League (NWL) the region of Piedmont, Liguria and Aosta Valley in Italy to provide an alternative to the more demanding federal championships. The league will be played between April and June parallel to the regular leagues run by the Italian Baseball and Softball Federation (FIBS) and is open to all male players aged 16 and older.
