The 33-year-old Alper Bozkurt takes over as head coach of the Austrian Baseball League club Athletics Attnang-Puchheim. He succeeds Nick Pardikes, who leaves for the United States at the beginning of August to resume his studies. Bozkurt was born in Turkey, played in the German Baseball-Bundesliga and for the German national team and coached in Ireland, Switzerland and Turkey.
