The ALMERE’90 MAGPIES are back in the Dutch Hoofdklasse. They had won the best-of-five promotion series against RCH MEDIA MONKS in September, which had finished in eighth in the 2009 Hoofdklasse. As the MAGPIES qualified on the field to receive the promotion, the Dutch Baseball and Softball Federation first was reluctant to hand out a license for 2010. However the club appealed and got granted a license in the end anyway.
