Despite the cool weather in Europe the Alligators and Wanderers faced each other on Wednesday evening for an exhibition at the Hoeschpark in Dortmund. Solingen won the game with a score of 2-0.

Both pitching staffs dominated the opposing orders. They allowed just seven hits during the nine innings. Andre HUGHES, who had excelled at the Olympic Qualifier started for the Alligators and threw four scoreless innings. Rene HERLITZIUS pitched six scoreless frames for Dortmund and was later relieved by Michael KABER.

Solingen got on the board in the seventh. Kai GRONAUER hit a double of the fence in center field and scored the go-ahead run from second. They added an insurance run in the eighth.

The Wanderers continue their preseason with a regional cup match against the Paderborn Untouchables on Saturday. The Alligators are facing the PSV Eindhoven on the same day.
