Italian third baseman Alex Liddi is back in Triple-A. After a few weeks up with the Major League team of the Seattle Mariners, the San Remo native was optioned back to the Tacoma Rainiers, as Justin Smoak was activated from the disabled list. The 24-year-old couldn’t make an impression, going 1-for-17 with a double, a walk and seven strikeouts in eight games. In the Minors he had a .267/.323/.456 with nine home runs in 50 games so far.
