The Bonn Capitals is starting off the offseason with a new head coach. 37-year-old US-American Alex Derhak is taking over at the helm in Bonn. The former catcher and first baseman is receiving a three-year contract with the Capitals. He is coming from Brno, where he worked as assistant coach since retiring as active player in 2014. Bradley Roper-Hubbert ended his career with the Caps following the German final series. After winning 40 consecutive games during regular season and the postseason Bonn went on to beat the Buchbinder Legionaere Regensburg and Heidenheim Heidekoepfe en route to their first championship in team history.
