Parma Clima signed third first baseman Aldo Koutsoyanopulos for the 2018 season in the Italian Serie A1. The Californian from Mission Viejo is the son of an Italian mother and a Greek father and is in possession of a dual passport. Last year he batted .285 for Central Arizona College California State University.

I realize, Phillippe, that you cannot fact check the postings sent to you.
Parma should be advised tat Aldo played last year (and 2016) for California State University, Stanislaus in NCAA Division II. In 2017, he hit .285, playing in 38 of 51 games as a FIRST baseman. Helped the Warriors to the CCAA league championship tournament.
He is athletic with a good arm and can undoubtedly play 3b for Parma. His great problem at Stanslaus was pitch selection — which should not present a difficulty in Serie A. Aldo competed well (.344 as a junior) in a good Division II league, which is far far better than the Italians or the Hoofdklass or any other European competition. If he remembers what his D-2 coaches taught him, he should thrive in Europe.
Thank you for the heads up.
