Another European player is joining the Australian Baseball League. The Adelaide Bite have signed 31-year-old right-handed pitcher Loek van Mil. The Dutch reliever is expected to make his debut this coming weekend against the Sydney Blue Sox. He played for Curacao Neptunus Rotterdam and for Rochester (Minnesota Twins) this past year. He recently participated in the Premier12 with the Netherlands, finishing in seventh place. Van Mil is going to be the third European player in the ABL this season besides Jan-Niclas Stoecklin (Sydney Blue Sox) and Donald Lutz (Brisbane Bandits).
