The Adelaide Bite started into the last week of the regular season in the Australian Baseball League with a 6-1 victory over the Brisbane Bandits on Wednesday. A two-run double by Quincy Latimore in the top of the third put them up in front. After Brisbane got on the board in the fourth thanks to a RBI double by Chad Gabriel, the Bite regained the two-run lead with a RBI double by Scott Gladstone in the sixth. Three insurance runs in the ninth sealed the win. Mark Brackman (W 2-1) allowed just one run on five hits and a walk in seven innings for the win. James Albury took the loss, issuing three hits, three runs and four bb in six frames.
