According to a report by Baseball.it despite the decreased budget of main sponsor Monte dei Paschi the participation for Grosseto in the Italian Baseball League is secure. Honorary chairman Roberto Baricci guaranteed President Roberto Ferri the financial coverage of the upcoming season. However the acquisition of new shortstop and former Major Leaguer Luis Maza is in doubt. They need to find another sponsor to make the signing possible. They already had missed out on former big leaguers Abraham Nunez and Tomas Perez.
