L&D Amsterdam add Stuifbergen, Lampe, others / Nick Urbanus stops playing

Posted on November 22, 2018November 22, 2018 by philipp

During the annual transfer period in the Netherlands, L&D Amsterdam added Mike Groen, Tom Stuifbergen, Roelie Henrique, Gilmer Lampe, Delano Selassa and Denzel Richardson. The team of new head coach Brian Finnegan will miss seven players on the roster in 2019. Robin Schel, Kyle Ward and Nick Urbanus all retired. However Chris Kabout of the Dutch Baseball Hangout reports a rumor that Urbanus is only taking a sabbatical year from baseball and could return in the future. His father retired as manager of Amsterdam following the season. Also leaving are Jan-Willem Geerts, Rodney Daal, Mikey De La Cruz Santana and Remco Draijer.
