Posted on September 22, 2018September 21, 2018 by philipp

The weather played some havoc with the schedule on day four of the Super 6 Baseball tournament in Hoofddorp, Netherlands on Friday. With rain already leading to a short delay during Belgium’s narrow win over Germany and the wind blowing hard during Italy’s home run derby win over the Czech Republic, the matchup of the undefeated teams from the Netherlands and Spain in the evening got stopped in the second inning and will resume play on Saturday.

Brothers Cedric and Kevin Desmedt split time on the mound for Belgium. Thomas De Wolf and Dennis De Quint hit home runs. De Quint collected four hits overall. Maik Ehmcke went deep for Germany, which remains winless in four games. Sascha Koch got charged with the loss.
