2010 in Review – Austrian Baseball League – Vienna Metrostars

After looking at the 2010 season in Italy, the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, France, the Czech Republic and Belgium, now up at the plate is the Austrian Baseball League.

2010 Record: 14-14
2010 Ranking: 5th place in Austrian Baseball League after regular season. The Vienna Metrostars missed the playoffs for a third straight year after winning three consecutive championships from 2005 to 2007. They were one game behind fourth in the final standings of the regular season.

Best Batter: Benjamin Salzmann. The 19-year-old third baseman/outfielder batted .354 (OBP .539/SLG .561) with two homeruns, two triples, seven doubles, 25 runs and 27 RBI in 24 games for the Mets last year.
