2010 in Review – Dutch Hoofdklasse – Konica Minolta Pioniers

After starting into the annual review season with the Italian Baseball League, we’re continuing with the Dutch Hoofdklasse.

2010 Record: 22-20
2010 Ranking: 4th place in the Dutch Hoofdklasse after regular season. The Konica Minolta Pioniers secured their spot in the semi-finals with a 9-3 run in the last twelve games. However they didn’t reach the Holland Series, as DOOR Neptunus shut them out in all three games of the best-of-five semi-final series.
Runs Scored: 193 (4th)
Runs Allowed: 134 (3rd)

Best Batter: Lennart Koster. He batted a fourth-best .344 (OBP .444/SLG .427) with 16 runs scored and 15 RBI in just 27 games.
Best OPS: Lennart Koster .871
Most Home Runs: Linoy Croes 3 (tied for 3rd in league)
Most RBI: Mervin Gario, Norbert Lokhorst 17
Most Runs Scored: Mervin Gario 25
Most Stolen Bases: Norbert Lokhorst 13 (2nd in league)

Best Pitcher: Dave Draijer. The reliever had a 2-0 record with three saves in 16 appearances this season. He gave up just one earned run (ERA 0.41) in 22 innings, while striking out 14 and walking 5.
Best ERA Starter: Eddie Aucoin 1.72 (8th in league)
Best ERA Reliever: Dave Draijer 0.41
Most Strikeouts: Jurjen van Zijl 75 (tied for 6th in league)
Most Walks: Jurjen van Zijl, Ramon Romeijn 20
