Heavy rain in Moravia disrupted Saturday games

Posted on April 21, 2008 by philipp

All games last weekend were scheduled for the cities of Brno and Blansko, which is located 40 km north from Brno. On Saturday Moravia faced heavy rain and storm and all three doubleheaders were stopped or postponed. Only Sunday’s doubleheader between MZLU EXPRESS BRNO and ARROWS OSTRAVA was completed. Small surprise there, when the ARROWS swept EXPRESS 9-1 and 11-1.

Edgar Delos Reyes already led the ARROWS. Pitcher Jon Jon Robles presented himself in Europe with an excellent performance and completed the first game as a winning pitcher. The second game was pitched by starter Jiri Gal (6 IP) and Ondrej Vasicek, who closed out the game (2 IP). Unfortunately there is not yet information available from the EXPRESS squad.

On Thursday DRACI also had won the second game against TECHINKA in a period of one week. Again with a shutout, this time with a score of 2-0.
