He hasn’t officially made his professional debut yet. But the highly-touted German outfielder Max Kepler-Rozycki was ranked as the tenth best Minnesota Twins prospect by Baseball America on Wednesday. The 16-year-old is making the list alongside number one Aaron Hicks and fellow international signee Miguel Sano. Sano ($3.15 million) and Kepler-Rozycki ($0.8 million) combined for a signing bonus of nearly $4 million last year. Kepler-Rozycki is currently the lone European player to make a BA top-ten prospects list, though we should expect Alex Liddi and Gregor Halman to be included with the Seattle Mariners on January 22.

As a born an raised Minnesotan (now living in California) and die hard Twins fan, I am pretty jazzed about this kid. The Twins have some of the best coaches around in the minors so they should be able to get all of that potential out of him.
On another note, great site! Just discovered this today while doing some searches on Kepler. As someone who could be moving to Germany soon (my wife may possibly be taking a job offer there), I was excited to find out that there are people into baseball around Europe. I’d still be keeping my MLB.tv subscription but, I’m glad I would still be able to watch some baseball live.
