France showed why it is the undisputed powerhouse of European baseball5 with a dominant final day at the 2025 Baseball5 European Championship, defeating offensive juggernaut Türkiye in two sets in the semifinal and dispatching Spain impressively in the final. France did not drop a single set the entire tourney, and permitted only just more than one run on average per set. Meanwhile, Lithuania, which took Spain to three close sets in the semifinal, then matched up against Türkiye, with the goal of a third-consecutive Baseball5 Euros medal, but the upstart rookies survived three sets to win bronze in its first attempt. France and Spain advance to the 2026 Baseball5 World Cup.

In the placement round for the fifth through eighth ranking, Italy defeated Denmark to set up a matchup with Romania for fifth, and survived three of the tournament’s most competitive sets to defeat their Eastern European opponents. Italy moved up one place from 2023, while sixth set a programme-best mark for Romania. The Cinderella team of the event, Denmark, had Italy on the ropes in its first set of the day, but its eventual loss pitted it against Belgium, who had lost a two-set game to Romania. The Scandinavians won a pair of shutouts to claim seventh in their first Baseball5 Euros, while Belgium settled for eighth.

Türkiye scored the most total runs in the tournament at 163, averaging 10.9 runs per set, while France was second in runs (149) and runs per set (10.6), allowing the fewest runs (16, only 1.14 per set) with the best differential (+133). Only six of the 16 teams finished with a positive run differential, with the Netherlands joining the top five in that regard.

Seyran Nisa Özdemir (Türkiye) picked up awards for the MVP (Female) and Best Hitter Player (Female), while France’s Omar Diodene earned a clean sweep of the individual awards (Male), taking home MVP,
Best Offensive Player, and Best Hitter Player. Pacheco led the tournament in average (.899), hits (71), and RBI (44). Özdemir was second in RBI (37) and fourth in hits (50). The Best Offensive Player (Female) was Ayla Engels of the Netherlands, who finished fifth in RBI (25).

Other statistics and awards can be found at the tournament website [link].
