Posted on November 5, 2019 by philipp

The United States joined Mexico from the Guadalajara pool to reach the Super Round at the 2019 Premier12. They defeated the Dominican Republic 10-8 in a nail biter on Monday evening. The team of manager Scott Brosius scored in each of the first five innings in the slugfest for a 9-7 lead. Both teams scored one more run afterwards. Mark Payton, Jacob Conenworth, Alec Bohm and Erik Kratz hit home runs for the US squad, Charlie Valerio for the Dominican Republic. Wyatt Mills picked up the win in relief. Carlos Sano got charged with the loss. Both teams combined to use 14 pitchers in the contest. The Guadalajara round at the Premier12 ends on Tuesday with the game between Mexico and the Netherlands, which has no influence on advancement or elimination.
