Even though 2012 already started we still look back at the 2011 season in European Baseball. Up next is the Belgian First Division.

Mortsel Stars

2011 Record: 15-21
2011 Ranking: 6th place in Belgian First Division following the regular season. A pair of four-game losing streaks put them in the hole early in the season and the Mortsel Stars never were able to battle for a spot in the playoffs.
Runs Scored: 220 (5th)
Runs Allowed: 274 (7th)

Best Batter: Nguyen Boulet. After one season with the Tenerife Marlins he returned to the Mortsel Stars and batted .350/.438/.431 with a triple, eight doubles, 21 runs and 28 RBI in 30 games.
Best OPS: Nguyen Boulet .869
Most Homeruns: Cedric Vandesompele, Kevin Vandeperre 1
Most RBI: Nguyen Boulet 28
Most Runs Scored: Sebastian Vandesompele 41
Most Stolen Bases: Sebastian Vandesompele 22

Best Pitcher: Nguyen Boulet. He went 5-5 with an ERA of 4.04 in 12 games (10 starts). He struck out 45 batters in 75 2/3 innings, walking 38.
Best ERA Starting Pitcher: Nguyen Boulet 4.04
Best ERA Reliever: Ben van Nuffel 6.43
Most Strikeouts: Steven De Saedeleer 50
Most Walks: Steven De Saedeleer 49
