2011 in Review – Austrian Baseball League – Vienna Metrostars

Mister-Baseball is on vacation this week. Therefore we are looking back at the European baseball leagues, which we hadn’t covered yet in our 2011 in Review series.

Vienna Metrostars

2011 Record: 18-10
2011 Ranking: 3rd place after the regular season in ABL. The Vienna Metrostars played its best baseball during the playoffs, eliminating the higher seeds Wanderers and Athletics en route to the ABL title.

Best Batter: B. Salzmann. He batted .400/.495/.556 with ten extra base hits, 28 runs scored and 18 RBI in 24 games.
