The 2011 MLB Academies Tournament at the Armin-Wolf-Arena in Regensburg, Germany has entered its final stages with some of the players already returning home to their respective club teams for this weekend’s action in European baseball. Two games were played on Thursday. France scored in each of the first six innings en route to a win over Sweden. Afterwards the Czech Republic defeated Germany in a well-played contest, which lasted just one hour and forty minutes. One more game is on the schedule on Friday, before the Buchbinder Legionaere need to get their field ready for their home opener in the evening against the Mannheim Tornados. As usual games are played under strict rules (pitch counts, unrestricted substitutions) with the development being the main focus.
