2010 World Series starts tonight between San Francisco Giants, Texas Rangers



Many European Baseball fans will be battling a sleep deficit over the next few days, as the 2010 World Series starts tonight between the San Francisco Giants and the Texas Rangers. With the highly anticipated game-one matchup between former Cy Young Award winners Tim Lincecum (SF) and Cliff Lee (TEX) the best-of-seven series begins with a highlight.

The Giants have some ties to European Baseball. Former Dutch National Team player (2000 Olympics, 2001 Baseball World Cup, 2002 Intercontinental Cup) and coach (2004 Olympics, 2009 World Baseball Classic) Henry “Bam Bam” Meulens is serving as the hitting coach for manager Bruce Bochy.

You can follow the 2010 World Series in Europe on ESPN America, which will show all seven games live, starting with the coverage at 1.30am CET, respective 0.30am CET. And obviously MLB.TV is also showing all the games live.
