After getting swept on home turf, NETTUNO came back and won the series against GROSSETO this time with a 7-4 victory on Saturday. They took a fast 4-0 lead after three periods and added a few more runs later on. MONTEPASCHI tried to come back, but failed to tie the game.
Renato Imperiali reached base four of his five plate appearances and drove in two. Giuseppe Mazzanti and Paolino Ambrosino each scored twice. Jairo Ramos and Andrea De Santis hit two-run homeruns for GROSSETO.
Carlos Richetti allowed just two hits, two runs and two base on balls in six innings for the win. He struck out six. Andrea Lucati took the loss, after allowing two hits, four runs and five walks in 2 2/3 innings.

SAN MARINO scored eleven runs on 16 hits to defeat GODO. Seth La Fera was four-for-five with a homerun and four RBI. David Sheldon, Francesco Imperiali and Riccardo Suardi also hit the ball over the fence for T&A. Roberto De Franceschi hit a homerun for DE ANGELIS.
Matteo Tonellato (SMA) gave up six hits, four runs (2 ER) and a walk in five innings. Lino Luciani (GOD) was charged with ten hits, five runs and three bb in four-plus innings. Luca Martignoni received the win, Daniele Del Bianco the loss.

RIMINI overcame a 1-6 deficit to beat the RANGERS 12-6 on Saturday afternoon. Amaury Garcia led the offense with four hits in four at bats, driving in three. Filippo Crociati scored twice and drove in two. Johnny Carvajal (3 RBI), Massimiliano Sartori and Enrico Cecotti hit homeruns for REDIPUGLIA.
Buddy Bengel (RIM) had a bad start, allowing six hits and five runs in 2 1/3 innings. RANGERS starter Steven Baldinelli gave up two hits, four runs and five bb in 3 1/3 innings. Chris Di Roma got the win. Matteo Bertoldi took the loss.

TELEMARKET got never really in trouble in the second match of the doubleheader, as they celebrated a 12-3 victory. Manny Alexander drove in four runs. Mario Chiarini and Mattia Campanini each had two RBI. Ivan Cechet and Lizahio Baez hit homeruns for REDIPUGLIA.
Sandy Patrone pitched 6 1/3 solid innings for the win. He allowed three hits, three runs and four walks. Andrea Cossar was responsible for nine hits, six runs (4 ER) and three bb in four-plus innings.
The doubleheader between FORTITUDO BOLOGNA and CARIPARMA on Saturday was rained out. Because of the washed out series opener on Friday, both clubs met on Sunday for a triple-header. Recaps for these three games on Monday. They acually played a doubleheader. Game three is scheduled for Monday evening June 16 in Parma.
