After two unsuccessful tries on Friday and Saturday, FORTITUDO and CARIPARMA started their three-game series on Sunday afternoon. BOLOGNA won game one of the doubleheader by a score of 7-1. They took the lead in the sixth, scoring twice on a wild pitch and a passed ball. They added five runs a frame later and never looked back. Richard Austin hit a three-run homerun. Claudio Liverziani scored two runs.
Jesus Matos allowed six hits, one run and two walks in seven innings for the win. Mercado took the loss after allowing six hits, two runs and three base on balls in 5 2/3 innings.

PARMA defended a slim lead and tied the series with a 3-2 win on Sunday afternoon. Pascual Matos hit a solo shot in the fourth. Stefano De Simoni (3-5) and Orlando Munoz also drove in runs for the guest squad. Joseph Mazzuca scored both runs for BOLOGNA.
Roberto Corradini pitched 7 2/3 solid innings for the win. He gave up six hits, two runs and two bb. Fabio Betto allowed two runs on seven hits in five innings and lost.
The rubber game of the series takes place on Monday June 16 at 20:30 CET in Parma.
