European Cup Playoff in Antwerp begins on Friday

The last CEB tournament of the 2008 season begins on Friday in Antwerp, Belgium. The BERN CARDINALS, KAUNAS LITUANICA and the ROYAL GREYS (listed as Port of Antwerp Greys) battle for the last spot in next year’s European Cups. Last weekend DRACI BRNO held off DINAMO (ROM) and KNTU (UKR) on home turf to stay in the A-pool of the European Cup. The CARDINALS qualified by winning the Brno European Cup Qualifier in June. KAUNAS prevailed in Kutno, Poland. The GREYS lost to the MARLINS PUERTO CRUZ in the game for fifth place at the European Cup in Grosseto and have to defend the Belgian spot.
