Dortmunder Wanderers extend Contract with Head Coach

Posted on November 24, 2008 by philipp

The German Baseball-Bundesliga club DORTMUND WANDERERS extended the contract with head coach Jens Hawlitzky through the 2009 season. Andreas Steinmetz, who split responsibilities at the helm with Hawlitzky, makes a step back and takes over more tasks in the front office of the organization.

DORTMUND got promoted into the Bundesliga last winter and established themselves among the playoff-bound teams in their first season. They reached the postseason with a 14-14 record in fourth place in the northern conference standings. In the quarter-finals they were eliminated by the HEIDENHEIM HEIDEKOEPFE in three games.
