2010 in Review – Italian Baseball League – T&A San Marino

The season in European Baseball is over. It is time to look back. We will start our annual review series with the Italian Baseball League.

T&A San Marino

2010 Ranking: 2nd place in Italian Baseball League after regular season. Afterwards T&A San Marino started with three wins over Rimini into the semi-final round, but lost five of the last six games to finish in third, missing the Italian Baseball Series.
Runs Scored: 212 (2nd)
Runs Allowed: 145 (3rd)

Carlos DuranBest Batter: Carlos Duran. He won the Triple Crown in Italy, leading the league in batting average (.349), homeruns (6) and RBI (39). He also was ranked first in Hits (61), runs scored (37), total bases (104) and slugging percentage (.594).
Best OPS: Carlos Duran .972 (led IBL)
Most Home Runs: Carlos Duran 6 (led IBL)
Most RBI: Carlos Duran 39 (led IBL)
Most Runs Scored: Carlos Duran 37 (led IBL)
Most Stolen Bases: Anthony Granato 17 (2nd in IBL)

Best Pitcher: Jose Escalona. The reliever had an ERA of 1.62 in 14 appearances, collecting six saves as the closer in game one each week. He struck out 41 batters in 33 1/3 innings, while walking ten.
Best ERA Starter: Tiago Da Silva 2.23
Best ERA Reliever: Jose Escalona 1.62
Most Strikeouts: Tiago Da Silva 60
Most Walks: Henry Bonilla 29
Most Innings Pitched: Tiago Da Silva 93.0
