2010 in Review – French Elite League – Stade Toulousain

We are in the middle of our annual season review series of the European Baseball leagues. After Italy, the Netherlands, Germany and Spain, we are going to take a look at the French Elite League.

Stade Toulousain

2010 Record: 12-18 (including playdowns)
2010 Ranking: 5th place in French Elite League. Stade Toulousain flirted with the playoffs during the regular season, but had to settle for fifth place and the playdowns in the end.
Runs Scored: 138 (4th)
Runs Allowed: 158 (4th)

Best Batter: Maxime Charlot. He batted .304 (OBP .423/SLG .443) with one homerun, three triples, two doubles, 20 runs and 16 RBI in 22 games this year. He will join the promoted Pessac Panthers in 2011.
Best OPS: Maxime Charlot .876
Most Homeruns: Maxime Charlot, Brieuc Mallet 1
Most RBI: Andy Paz 17
Most Runs Scored: Maxime Charlot 20
Most Stolen Bases: Maxime Charlot 14

Best Pitcher: Euri Garcia Martinez. He had a 5-1 record with an ERA of 3.84 in 17 appearances (five starts). He struck out 31 batters in 63 1/3 innings, while walking 31.
Best ERA Starter: Leonel Cespedes 6.88 (11 GP, 6 GS)
Best ERA Reliever: Euri Garcia Martinez 3.84
Most Strikeouts: Thomas Dourlens 32
Most Walks: Thomas Dourlens 50
Most Innings Pitched: Euri Garcia Martinez 63.1
