2010 in Review – Belgian First Division – Mortsel Stars

We’re continuing our review series about the 2010 season in European Baseball with Belgium. Previously we looked at Italy, the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, France and the Czech Republic.

Mortsel Stars

2010 Record: 7-17
2010 Ranking: 6th place in Belgian First Division after regular season. During the round robin for the bottom three teams the Mortsel Stars won four out of eight games to secure their spot in the 2011 campaign.
Runs Scored: 134 (6th)
Runs Allowed: 211 (6th)

Best Batter: Scott Bolcoa. He batted .429 (OBP .568/SLG .911) with seven homeruns, a triple, four doubles, 14 runs and 24 RBI in just 74 plate appearances.
