While probably most of the European Baseball clubs would be happy to have a player like him, Unipol Bologna has different thoughts. On Monday the European Champions Cup finalist announced that they have terminated the contract with Chris Aguila. Additionally they revealed that Raul Reyes will come in to take his spot on the roster.
Aguila was batting .348/.459/.565 with three home runs, six doubles, 16 runs and 23 RBI in 18 games in the Italian Baseball League this year. The Dominican outfielder Reyes played Minor League ball in the New York Mets organization from 2006 to 2012. Last year he split time between Double-A and Triple-A, batting .252/.334/.361 in 102 games.
