U15 Baseball Euros 2026 Austria Qualifier: Day 2

Posted on July 21, 2026July 22, 2026 by Gabriel Fidler

Schwechat, Austria hosted a second day of offensive firepower as two of the groups attempting to qualify for the next Under-15 European Baseball Championship rolled into Day Two.

Spain and Hungary both had convincing mercy rule victories, with Osdaniel Hechavarria knocking in five runs with three singles and three pitchers combining on a three-inning one-hitter. Eli Reinoso, fresh off a convincing Under-18 European Baseball Championship as a much younger player, starred for Hungary, driving in three with a triple and two singles, striking out two in a scoreless inning to close. Gábor Farkas punched out nine in four innings for the Magyars.

In the nightcap, Russia and Austria played an even game that went to extra innings before the hosts walked off on a Oskar-Tim Kampichler single. Cedrik Moczkowski had a single, a double, and a triple for the victors.
