16-year-old Tomas Sykora (Krc Altron) signed a seven-year Minor League contract with the Cincinnati Reds organization. Sykora signed the agreement two months after his sixteenth and he became the youngest European baseball player to get a contract with a MLB team in history. He is attending the MLB academy in Tirrenia, Italy for the next three weeks and his next step will be known at the end of training camp. Sykora is already the second player from Krc Altron who was signed by a MLB team this year, after Matej Hejma (Minnesota Twins) in February. Congratulation to Tomas and the Krc Altron baseball club.
