The French Baseball Blog Honus did an interview with British journalist and co-author Simon Kuper about his new book “Soccernomics – Why Enland loses, why Germany and Brazil win, and why the US, Japan, Australia, Turkey – and even the Iraq – are destined to become the kings of the world’s most popular sport”. It is written by Kuper and Stefan Szymanski and is some sort of “Moneyball” about Football. There are even references to Moneyball and Oakland Athletics general manager Billy Beane, as problems in pro football and pro baseball are similar. Visit Honus.fr for the interview and use Google Translate if you don’t speak French.
