While the season in European Baseball is basically over and we’re moving towards the offseason with rumors, transactions, reviews, clinics and much more, we‘re trying to catch up on a few leagues, which we didn’t cover throughout the year.
Slovan Bratislava is the 2010 Baseball champion in Slovakia. They defeated city rivals Apollo Bratislava 3-1 in the best-of-final series in October. Slovan was led by starting pitcher Marek Bosansky who went 4-0 with an ERA of 1.73 during the playoffs, striking out 25 batters in 36 1/3 innings, walking ten. At the plate Matus Miko set the tone with 13 hits in 24 at-bats, scoring seven runs, while driving in eight. Slovan and Apollo had beaten the White Angels Trnava and the Seals Kosice in the semi-finals.
