The head coach of the Dutch national team, Robert EENHOORN, will step down following a possible participation of the Netherlands at the World Baseball Classic in 2009. He has the job for seven years and led them to two fourth place finishes at the Baseball World Cup and to several European championships. He remains the manager until the Olympic games 2008 in Beijing and would continue one more year, if the Dutch team gets an invitation for the next World Baseball Classic. The KNBSB wants to keep him as a consultant.
