The Atlanta Braves cut ties with Jair Jurrjens on Friday, not tendering him a contract for the 2013 season. The 26-year-old right-handed pitcher pitched to a 3-4 record with an ERA of 6.89 in 11 games in Major League Baseball this year. He also saw time in Triple-A, going 4-6 with an ERA of 4.98 in 14 games. He was an all-star in 2011. He had been pitched for the Braves since the 2008 season. His teammate, Australian relief pitcher Peter Moylan, also was not tendered on Friday.
