The Buchbinder Legionaere Regensburg revealed this weekend that British infielder Richard Klijn is retiring due to professional and personal reasons. He just has not enough time to continue playing baseball at the moment. However the club hopes that he returns as soon as he has managed to solve the tasks off the field. The 24-year-old played in 155 games for Regensburg in the German Baseball-Bundesliga, as well as in 71 games in the second division since 2008. He won four German championships, but has played in just six games this year.
