Israel has won the Qualifier European Championship C-Pool in Ljubljana, Slovenia. They shut out Slovenia 14-0 in the final game on Saturday in Jezica. Four runs in the first, fourth and sixth apiece blew the score wide open. Alon Leichman dominated on the mound, allowing just one hit and a walk in seven scoreless innings. He struck out nine. Eitan Maoz and Simon Rosembaum combined for three home runs and eight RBI. Jan Pucnik got charged with the loss.
Both teams qualified for the B-Level-European Championship in 2015. Romania concluded the tournament in Slovenia in third place after a 16-0 blowout against Ireland. Dan Panaitescu scored three times and drove in four in the Bronze Medal Game. Three pitchers pitched a two-hitter. Jack Farrell took the loss. Finland beat Hungary 12-7 and Latvia prevailed 10-7 against Norway in the last two classification games on Saturday.
