The Pulheim Gophers announced on Thursday that Dutch middle infielder Kevin Faries will remain with the team in 2011. The 29-year-old is playing in the German Baseball-Bundesliga since 2005, when he joined the Cologne Cardinals for four seasons. Last winter the Gophers added him to the roster. He batted .158 (OBP .286/SLG .200) with four doubles, twelve runs and four RBI in 28 games. He was used in 20 games at short and in eight at second base.
