The German Baseball World Cup organizers re-launched their website on Tuesday, adding more information on the site besides the already successful started ticket shop. They have news available about the 38th World Cup, the ballpark, the city Regensburg and the four participating teams Germany, Team USA, Venezuela and China. They are planning to extend the coverage in the coming six months. The website can be reached at www.baseballwm09.de.
Until today they now have already sold about 12,000 tickets for the four-day competition in Regensburg. Besides from Germany, sales were made from Austria, Switzerland, France, the Netherlands, Great Britain, Hungary and Poland. Pool E of the Baseball World Cup kicks off its schedule on September 9th with the opener between Germany and China. Four more games will follow till September 12th to determine up to three advancing participants for round two, which will be hosted by the Netherlands and Italy.
The organizers also announced that the city of Regensburg invited to a press conference at the International Tourism Convention in Berlin, Germany on March 12th at 4pm CET. IBAF vice president and CEB president Martin Miller and the mayor of Regensburg Joachim Wolberg will attend the meet and greet together with several German National Team players.
