The Italian Baseball and Softball Federation (FIBS) and the city of Milan have signed an agreement about the management of the legendary Kennedy Stadium in Milan. The city will invest €500,000 into the stadium and into a public street ballpark nearby.
Kennedy Stadium is historic ballpark having hosted the 1964 European Championship and games at the 1988 and 1998 Baseball World Cups. Both sides aim to bring an Italian Baseball League team back to Milan.
For FIBS it is already the second renovation project after Acquacetosa in Rome.
