European Cups 2011 in Parma and Amsterdam

UGF BolognaOn Saturday the Confederation of European Baseball announced that they have awarded the organization of the 2011 European Cups to Parma, Italy and Amsterdam, Netherlands. The tournaments will be played from May 31st to June 4th or June 1st to June 5th. The top two teams in each competition will qualify for the European Champions Cup Final Four, which will be played on September 24th and 25th in Brno, Czech Republic. The technical commission also made the draw for the two groups of six teams each. The qualified teams still have to confirm their participation until December 31st.

European Cup in Parma:
1. Tenerife Marlins (ESP)
2. T & A San Marino (SMA)
3. Rouen Baseball ’76 (FRA)
4. Neptunus Rotterdam (NED)
5. Cariparma Parma Angels (ITA)
6. AVG Draci Brno (CZE)

European Cup in Amsterdam:
1. L&D Amsterdam Pirates (NED)
2. Hoboken Pioneers (BEL)
3. CB Sant Boi (ESP)
4. Tornados Balashikha (RUS)
5. Buchbinder Legionaere Regensburg (GER)
6. UGF Fortitudo Bologna (ITA)

Sequence of the games according the CEB Competition Rules:
1st day 5-1,4-2,3-6
2nd day 1-3,2-5,6-4
3rd day 1-4,2-6,3-5
4th day 1-2,3-4,5-6
5th day 2-3,6-1,4-5
