In a duel of opening day losers at the European Championship, Greece scored six runs in the third en route to a 7-2 win over Croatia in Rotterdam. Seven different players scored and drove in runs. Panagiotis Sikaras got the start and the Italian Baseball Leaguer conceded only two unearned runs on five hits and a walk in six innings. He struck out nine for the win. Mathew Susac received the loss, getting charged for five hits, six runs (3 ER) and five bb in three innings.
