Spain defeated Germany on Saturday evening in Haarlem to clinch the bronze medal at the 2012 European Championship. While Germany countered Spain’s five runs in the first with four in the second, they never overcame the deficit completely in a 6-8 loss. Dewis Navarro homered and drove in three for Spain. He and Paco Figueroa scored twice. Ludwig Glaser and Jendrick Speer went deep for Germany. Eric Gonzalez pitched 5 1/3 innings for the win. Enorbel Marquez-Ramirez issued a whopping seven runs on ten hits in 6 1/3 innings to take the loss.
