Italy is the lone undefeated team in the 2012 European Championship. The reigning title holder shut out Greece 7-0 on Monday evening at Pim Mulier Stadium in Haarlem. Chris Cooper and three relievers kept the Greek team to six hits and no walks in nine scoreless innings, while collecting 12 strikeouts. Cooper ended up with the win, having thrown 84 pitches in five frames. At the plate Chris Colabello impressed by going 3-for-4 with a grand slam and two runs scored. Gabriele Ermini reached base in all five of his plate appearances. Efthymio Karkatselos already took his second loss of the tournament, allowing five hits, three runs (2 ER) and three walks in three innings.
