by European Baseball Coaches Association
The baseball season is behind us and leaves start to fall from the trees.
It’s now time to look ahead at the baseball clinics season that will kick off with the EBCA Convention that will take place in Mulhouse – France, from November 9 to November 11.
It’s also the time to honour the ones who have accomplshed something special over the last 12 months.
For the first time last year, everyone was able to submit a candidate for the election. And our members did then elect Brian Farley as the recipient of the 2011 EBCA Coach of the Year Award, just a few weeks after the historic Wolrd Championship from his Dutch team.
This year again, you can submit names of coaches that you think need to be considered for the prestigious award.
Just send us an e-mail with the name of your candidate with a description of what he achieved this past season to info@baseball-in-europe.com. The EBCA staff will then select 5 coaches out of that pool and the EBCA members will elect the Coach of the Year 2012. Check out the complete Election Process
This year however, in order to give more weight to the public, everyone will also be able to submit a candidate for the EBCA Career Achievement Award.
This award is not necessarely given to a coach but it can be given to anybody who has achieved a lot for European baseball for an extended period of time.
Again, send us the name of your candidate with a list of achievements that, in your view, makes him worth of that award.
The recipients of the 2 EBCA Awards will be announced during the Mulhouse Convention.
