After the press conference to announce the start of the new baseball/softball complex in Hoofddorp as part of the Park 21 project, no time was wasted and the constructions are well under way. Since last week the first work is already visible, as bulldozers dominate the area. The foundation of the first stones for the clubhouse is expected to be made between mid and end March according to the Hoofddorp Pioniers website. In between trips to World Baseball Classic sites MLB field guru Murray Cook made a quick stop in Amsterdam to pay a visit to the new baseball/softball fields, making sure everything is done right. A website with webcams is planned and should be launched in the coming weeks.
